Julia and David’s wedding at Blair Hill Inn in Greenville, Maine, was a beautiful summer celebration surrounded by their closest family and friends. With the mountains and Moosehead Lake as their backdrop, it was hard to imagine a better place for the two of them to say “I do.”

Their ceremony took place as the sun was beginning to set, giving the day that gorgeous evening light that Maine does so well. With their favorite people gathered around them, Julia and David exchanged vows and officially began this next chapter together.

After the ceremony, guests headed inside to enjoy dinner prepared by the Blair Hill Inn team. The evening was relaxed and full of conversation, laughter, and plenty of time for everyone to enjoy being together.

But one of the details I loved most about this wedding was something that happened long before the wedding day.

Julia and David wanted to give their guests something that felt personal, not just another wedding favor that would eventually get left behind. They spent hours engraving individual cutting boards, each featuring an image of Blair Hill Inn. Every guest received one as a thank-you for being part of their wedding day.

It was such a thoughtful idea, and exactly the kind of detail that makes a wedding feel personal. Instead of simply putting their names and wedding date on something, they created a keepsake connected to the place where they celebrated their marriage.

That’s one of my favorite things about weddings: it’s the little details that often tell the biggest stories.

Julia and David’s day was beautiful, but more importantly, it felt like them, intentional, personal, and centered around the people they love most.
