Hanna + Sam | Grace on the Lake

I’m so excited to share a little more about Hanna and Sam’s wedding at Grace on the Lake in Harmony, Maine. This was one of those wedding days where all the little details came together to feel completely them.

From the beginning, Hanna and Sam wanted their personalities to be part of the day. You could see it in the little things from the heartfelt speeches to the candy they put together for guests to take home. Nothing felt overly complicated or like they were trying to follow a certain “wedding formula.” It was simply a reflection of the two of them.

And then there was the food. Instead of a traditional wedding dinner, they decided to have a pizza bar, which was such a fun choice and was a huge hit with their guests. And because one dessert is never enough, they followed it up with a dessert bar featuring their favorite donuts from The Holy Donut. Honestly, I don’t think anyone was complaining!

The reception was just as much fun. Once the dancing started, the floor stayed busy with everyone from the youngest guests to the grandparents. There was so much laughter, dancing, and time spent together and that’s always one of my favorite things to see on a wedding day.

Looking back, what stands out most about Hanna and Sam’s wedding isn’t one particular detail. It’s how personal the entire day felt. Their families, their friends, their favorite foods, their personalities, it all came together in a way that felt effortless and genuinely them.

And really, isn’t that what a wedding should be?

A day that feels like you, surrounded by the people you love most.
