Allison and Evan’s Maine wildflower wedding at Blair Hill Inn was one of those days that proved you really can’t control the weather, but you can absolutely make the most of it.
They exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends overlooking Moosehead Lake. Just as the ceremony was getting started, the clouds opened up and brought a little rain with them. And honestly? I think it made the day even more memorable. After all, they say rain on your wedding day is good luck!
Thankfully, the skies eventually cleared, and we were rewarded with an incredible sunset.
Allison put so much thought into the design of their day, and all of those little details came together beautifully. There were vibrant florals, succulents, hand-painted paper candles, sage details, a cigar bar, beautiful signage, and plenty of candlelight throughout the space.
There was also a subtle nostalgic feel woven into the design that gave the whole celebration a really unique personality. It wasn’t just beautiful, it felt intentional and personal to Allison and Evan.
By the time the sun went down, the Carriage Barn was glowing, the candles were lit, and everyone was ready to celebrate.
A little rain, an incredible sunset, beautiful details, and a room full of people who love you. Not a bad way to get married.
